DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities: Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to provide technical engineering leadership on multiple activities supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Lead efforts at NGA to investigate, deploy, and/or sustain new technical solutions and to provide software application sustainment services for some existing capabilities.  Lead evaluations across a broad range of functional areas including but not limited to; information management, search and discovery, access and retrieval, storage, new source integration, corporate applications and knowledge production and exploitation.   Lead  research of technical solutions, an analysis of alternatives and the development of recommendations for satisfying specific GEOINT requirements.  Provide techical oversight when promising technologies are piloted or prototyped to demonstrate the viability and usability of selected solutions and to mitigate technical risk.  Prototyping may include deployment and integration activities to demonstrate actual capabilities in a relevant or operational environment.  Follow-on integration, deployment into operations and sustainment of successful prototypes may also be required.  NGAs transition to a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment will require development of, or transformation of, tools and processes across the development lifecycle.    Required Qualifications: Significant engineering experience at NGA (or at an NGA mission partner) providing technical leadership in the  investigation, deployment, and/or sustainment of systems in the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). TS/SCI clearance.   Additional Qualifications:As a recognized company authority, provides both internal and external consulting services. Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects. Develops and may conduct training programs. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments/applications. Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system. Typically requires bachelors degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent and twelve to fifteen years of related experience. TS/SCI clearance.
